Pierre, SD (March 17, 2014) - Gov. Mike Rounds filed petitions to run for the United States Senate today including signatures from more than 7,000 South Dakotans.
“I’m very appreciative of the support”, said Rounds. “As I’ve travelled across South Dakota over the past year, we’ve had great conversations about the future of our state and the nation.”
Over 250 volunteers circulated petitions for Rounds for Senate and signatures were received from every county in South Dakota.
“Those numbers speak for themselves”, said Rounds for Senate campaign manager Rob Skjonsberg. “This is a bold statement of the strong grassroots support for Gov. Rounds from every part of the state.”
