Pierre, SD - October 14, 2014 - Governor Mike Rounds announced today that Governor Mike Huckabee is coming to South Dakota on Friday, October 17, to support Gov. Mike Rounds in his bid to become South Dakota’s next United States Senator.

"The road to the Republican majority in the U.S. Senate runs through South Dakota. My friend Mike Rounds is a strong, common-sense conservative. His values and integrity are desperately needed in Washington, D.C. He’s clearly the candidate that best represents South Dakota,” said Gov. Huckabee. “Mike’s stance on Obamacare, Keystone, 2nd amendment rights, life and our military stands in stark contrast to his opponents. It’s critical that South Dakota voters understand the consequences of this race. I’m honored to be in South Dakota and support Mike as the next Senator from South Dakota.”

The Rally for Rounds will take place in the Rushmore Room at the Sioux Falls Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel beginning promptly at noon and is open to the public.

“We’re excited to welcome Gov. Huckabee to South Dakota,” said Rounds. “His positive message of conservative values and common-sense governing will be well-received. ”

Governors Rounds and Huckabee served together with the Republican Governors Association and Gov. Rounds served as National Chairman for Gov. Huckabee’s 2008 presidential bid.
